Stop Auditioning for People Who Already Know You
There is a point at which effort stops being courtship and starts becoming an audition with no closing date.
You become more helpful. More interesting. Less demanding. You make yourself available at exactly the right temperature: warm enough to be wanted, cool enough not to frighten them.
Meanwhile, the other person has already had plenty of information.
They know you are thoughtful. They know you show up. They know how you look when you are trying not to ask for too much.
If they remain uncertain, you are allowed to stop supplying additional evidence.
This does not mean everyone must choose you. People are entitled to their preferences, timing, and limitations.
But you are also entitled to notice when a relationship requires you to continuously demonstrate why you deserve a place in it.
The right people may still need communication and effort.
They should not need a quarterly presentation on your worth.
