The Apology You Keep Waiting For
Closure sometimes arrives without the person who owes it to you.
An apology would be nice.
It might even be deserved.
But if your peace requires another person to become more self-aware than they have ever demonstrated themselves capable of being, you have given them an extraordinary amount of control.
You can understand what happened without receiving their confession.
You can close a door without their agreement that it should be closed.
